Workflows 2.0

Workflows have a brand new home: a visual canvas editor where you see the whole automation at a glance, from trigger to last step, and build it by clicking between the nodes. It replaces the old form-based editor for everyone.

The canvas also unlocks what the old editor never could. Workflows are no longer a straight line: add a split, and each path runs only when its conditions match. Conditions can look at the booker’s name or email, the meeting location, or the answer to any other booking question. Need something lighter? Drop a Filter node between two steps and everything below it only runs for the bookings you meant.

And this is just the start. Two nodes that are already in the works: Delays, so a workflow can send an email, wait two days, then follow up with an SMS; and Lead enrichment, which looks up the booker’s email through People Data Labs and hands their company, role and contact details to every step that follows.

Cal.ai is back in the app store!

Cal.ai is back! Install it and you can book meetings without leaving your calendar.

Type @cal book alice as an event title. The agent takes it from there: checks that you and Alice are both free, books on her Cal.com link, and updates the calendar entry with the result. If the slot doesn't work, it proposes another time.

Need a window instead of a slot? Stretch the event across Monday to Thursday and it finds the best time in that range. cancel, reschedule, seat, block and ooo work the same way.

Your connected calendars go on the watch list the moment you install, so the agent sees new events on its own. Nothing to configure, no admin to ask.

Troubleshooter 2.0

Last release we rebuilt the troubleshooter around one question: why can’t this slot be booked? The design is now complete, and it covers team events, every booking view and every reason a slot can disappear.

Pick a round-robin or collective event and you see the team’s availability exactly as a booker does, then inspect a single host to see their busy time, working hours and blocked-slot reasons, with teammate calendars redacted server-side. A new week view sits alongside month and column, multi-day OOO and limits collapse into a single card, and every dropped slot now explains itself: minimum notice, booking windows, seats full, restriction schedules, daily and weekly limits, first-available rules. Busy blocks name the calendar they came from (now including Exchange, CalDAV, Zoho, Feishu, Lark and ICS), failed calendar fetches offer a retry, and it all works on mobile.

Features and improvements

  • We've added Booking Proposals, so you can send an attendee several time slots at once and let them pick one from the email, with the proposed slots held until they decide.

  • We've rebuilt Cal Video with in-meeting chat, knock-to-admit, host controls to remove participants or end the call, keyboard shortcuts and a redesigned recordings page, so meetings feel as polished as the booking that led to them.

  • We've added guest check-in via QR code or tap and Apple Wallet tickets to Cal Events, so you can run the door of an in-person event straight from Cal.com.

  • We've added live streaming to YouTube, Twitch and X for Cal Events, along with lineup and schedule blocks and a page content editor, so a single event page can carry the whole programme.

  • We've added colour-coded tags to event types, with a tag picker and filter on the list, so large teams can organise dozens of event types at a glance.

  • We've added per-member booking limits for teams, so you can cap how many bookings each host takes per day, week or month across a round-robin pool without touching their personal limits.

  • We've added payment on approval and a per-event refund policy, so you only charge once a booking is confirmed and cancellations refund automatically.

  • We've added multiple locations per event type, so you can offer in-person, phone and video on the same event and let the booker choose.

  • We've added bulk actions to the bookings list, so you can select many bookings and cancel, delete or mark them as no-shows in one go, and book a guest directly from the same page.

  • We've added editable default roles and per-team role overlays to PBAC, so admins can tune what members and admins can do team by team instead of one setting for the whole org.

Fixes

  • We've fixed unconfirmed bookings blocking slots on your other event types, so a pending request on one link no longer hides times on every other link you have.

  • We've made availability fail closed when a calendar read fails, so a broken calendar connection shows the host as busy instead of quietly offering times that are already taken.

  • We've fixed seated events so occupancy is counted across every booking at a start time and round-robin hosts rotate correctly, so a full seat can never be sold twice.

  • We've stopped unpaid seats on paid seated events from being confirmed, so a seat is only yours once the payment clears and unpaid pending bookings can't double-book a slot.

  • We've made cancellations on paid seated events refund the individual seat, so one attendee dropping out no longer refunds the whole booking or nobody at all.

  • We've stopped seated event titles and reminders leaking attendee identities, so each seat holder only ever sees their own name, phone and notes.

  • We've fixed Google Calendar recurring events to use the booking's timezone, so repeating meetings land at the right local hour after a DST change.

  • We've replaced failed-login account locks with a temporary backoff, so a burst of wrong passwords slows an attacker down without locking you out of your own account.

  • We've stopped trusting email claims from Azure AD in invite and new-user flows and tightened SAML tenant lookups, so an identity provider can't be used to hijack an existing account.

  • We've fixed team disband and member removal timing out on long booking histories, so large teams can clean up their roster without a hung request.
