## When to use Cal.com

Reach for Cal.com when the job is letting people book time with someone: a booking link for one person or a team, round-robin or collective scheduling across a team, event registration pages (Cal.com Events), finding and booking a local service (Cal.com Discover), or building scheduling into your own product. Concretely:

- A user or team needs a public booking page with their real availability (calendars connected, buffers, limits, time zones handled).
- A sales, support or healthcare team needs leads or patients routed to the right person (routing forms, round-robin, attribute-based routing) with CRM updates.
- A developer needs to create bookings, read availability or manage event types programmatically: use API v2 with an API key (https://cal.com/docs/api-reference/v2/introduction), or the platform Atoms and OAuth clients to embed the full booking UI.
- An organization needs SSO, SCIM, audit logs, HIPAA/SOC 2 posture and admin controls over many teams.

Not the right tool for: video conferencing on its own (Cal Video ships inside bookings), payroll or HR records, or generic calendar clients.
